GREENWASHER
Greenwasher is an interactive audiovisual installation that critically explores the concept of green capitalism and the practice of greenwashing. Through a combination of sounds generated by touch-sensitive plants, bells activated by motors, and digitally processed corporate speeches, the installation creates a soundscape that exposes the superficiality of corporate ecological promises. Images inspired by the pop-glitch aesthetic associated with the capitalist movement are projected onto an aquarium, casting their shadows. This work invites participants to reflect on the contradictions between the appearance and reality of environmental practices in the capitalist context, fostering critical thinking about the need for genuine and sustainable change.
Geenwasher was exhibited at GNRation during Semibreve Festival in Braga, Portugal.
